Overall, Emilio's Pizza is recognized for delivering a genuine and enjoyable Italian dining experience with a focus on honesty, quality, and a welcoming atmosphere.
We had margarita and eight cheese pizza and it was amazing experience with thin crust and tastes damn amazing. For me it was the best pizza i had in kathmandu. Ambiance and staff were very nice and quick service. Overall i would give 9.5/10 for whole experience.
The outdoor seating was a bit chilly in winter evening but the vibe was nice. It seems like a great spot for a summer evening, as the outdoor area is well-maintained. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helped me through the menu, and happily answered my questions about the dishes. We ordered the Margherita pizza, Carbonara pasta, and Caesar salad. The pizza base was way too thin for my liking. The pasta was homemade with fresh sauce, and it definitely felt fresh. The salad didn’t impress me. Prices were on the higher side though.
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Bansbari, Emilio’s doesn’t look like it’s trying to impress anyone. No neon signs. No Instagram bait. Just a quiet garden, a few tables, and the smell of something honest in the air. The kind of place you’d walk past if you didn’t know better. But I did. I sat down in the drizzle of Kathmandu’s monsoon, mosquitoes humming like background noise in a noir film. At another place, it would’ve been a deal breaker. Here? They had mosquito repellent on every table. That tells you something these people think. They care. I ordered the 8 Cheese Pizza and Tortellini, because why not go full throttle on the carbs and soul-soothing dairy? The pizza was a revelation thin, golden crust, kissed by fire, layered with a symphony of cheeses that melted in slow, perfect harmony. No gimmicks. Just skill, balance, and the kind of flavor that makes you forget your phone, your emails, your life. I've eaten pizza in Thamel dive bars, bougie bakeries in Patan, and mall food courts across the Valley this one made all the others feel like knockoffs. This wasn’t pizza. This was a love letter written in cheese. And then came the Tortellini filled with memories of some Italian grandmother I never had. It was rich. Subtle. Made with restraint and realness. It stuck with me, long after the plate was empty. The staff? Warm. Smiling. Present without being pushy. Like they wanted you there, not just your money. If there’s a downside it’s small. Literally. Limited seats, and during monsoon season, you’re sharing your space with some airborne locals. But again they anticipated it. A bottle of repellent on every table, like a silent nod saying, “We got you.” Emilio’s isn’t a restaurant. It’s a reminder. A reminder that good food doesn’t need fanfare. That authenticity doesn’t shout it simmers, slow and sure. It’s a place for people who chase taste, not trends. If you eat pizza in Kathmandu and skip this place, you’re doing it wrong.
I’ve eaten a lot of Italian food in a lot of places—including in Italy—but Emilio’s in Bansbari genuinely surprised me. It might just be the best real Italian spot in all of Kathmandu. You can tell immediately that this isn’t a gimmick or a trendy take—it’s the real thing. I had the handmade bacon tortellini, and it was just… perfect. Silky pasta, rich filling, and balanced flavors that hit the kind of comfort note only a true Italian kitchen can pull off. The salad was also fresh, simple, and exactly what it should be—no corners cut. Everything just felt thoughtfully made. The vibe is relaxed and the service is solid. You can tell the people behind this place care about what they’re doing. If you're craving honest, authentic Italian food made by someone who knows the craft, Emilio’s is it.
Trust me when i say this!!! I’ve had brownies before from country to country… restaurants to restaurants never had a brownie like this before!!!! It’s crazy good! I can tell the baker who made these love browniesss! From pure chocolate to deep sautéed the walnuts! It’s crazy good
Its Pricey, but its Excellent. Probably one of the two best Pizzas I have had in Nepal. (the other one being Mezzes at Durbarmarg). Nice cozy atmosphere with Heaters. The Chicken Smoked Pizza was really good. The Chicken Caeser Salad was a bit bland for me. I have had better before. The staffs are attentive and nice.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Not too crowded. Things we ate: 1. Mushroom ravioli- 5/5 amazing 2. Smoky chicken pizza- 5/5 3. Goat cheese pizza- 5/5 4. Cheesecake- 4/5 was a bit burnt. Service was slow. But the server was very friendly. Car Parking is available but only 3 cars can fit inside the premises. Would recommend this place for food.
